Activities

We believe that enabling and encouraging independence and providing personal choice is fundamental to the happiness and well-being of our residents. We work with our residents and their families to find what our residents really enjoy doing.

We have some tremendous resources at our disposal including a huge greenhouse, a minibus and driver, some clever technology and a very flexible activities programme.

We have the resources to provide one-to-one support and engagement but we also really help our residents to engage both with other residents and with the local community. You can be as social or as private as you wish.

We go to great lengths to encourage and support residents to pursue their hobbies and interests. We also aim to provide as many recreational activities as possible for our residents to enjoy, as and when they wish – and we welcome residents’ suggestions for new activities. Our activities centre includes a large, well-equipped kitchen and a spacious area that is extensively used for a variety of crafts and hobbies.

We hold regular activities and events at Walton Heath Manor with a varied programme of activities each month, including interactions with the local community. Events include summer garden parties, music recitals, talks, themed dinners - for example, our Burns Night Supper, participating in national activities such as The Great British Bird Watch and celebrations at Easter and Christmas times.

Residents can invite their family and friends to the events throughout the year.
